What You'll Do
Establish broad knowledge and relationships across different parts of the organization including commercial sales, finance, manufacturing, and others, as needed.
Develop supplier, industry, technology, and manufacturing process understanding to support planning and analysis strategies.
Maintain a deep knowledge of the total planning process including demand planning, supply planning, new product introduction, material planning, and the S&OP process.
Work with business unit leadership to generate a consensus demand plan, assist in development of annual plans and reconcile them with monetized demand plans, and communicate any gaps between the plans. Address input gaps identified by forecast error, bias, and volatility.
Gather and interpret relevant data to determine optimal demand and supply strategies, create and deliver timely integrated plans, investigate challenges, root cause assessments, and recommend solutions.
Evaluate buying patterns for key products and predict how the company should react to product phase in, phase out, warranty, availability, demand shifts, promotions, events and competitive products.
Assess the impact of promotions and events on demand, using what-if analysis to create scenarios and recommendations.
Define and drive an out-of-cycle demand variance realignment process if required.
Work with various cross-functional teams on supply and demand impacts such as new product launches, demand shifts, promotions, end of life, and other events.
